Lori and Jeremy - A Tropical Adventure: August 30, 2008

Lori and Jeremy were a very cool couple and from the moment I met them, I knew that this would be a distinctively cool event!

The day of the ceremony was sunny and bright. The garden was looking lush and beautiful - as you would expect for a day to be spent in the tropics. Although it was August, they had decided to have an early ceremony and so they were able to avoid the typical August heat.

The tropical mood was set from arrival with a seashell theme on the cover of the programs.

Here comes the bride!

The ceremony itself included a sand ceremony. And some tears. And some laughter.

Afterward, the Jeremy and Lori posed for some photos and then . . .

They went for stroll in the field across the street!

Meanwhile, the guests were enjoying cocktails, hors d' oeuvres and admiring all of the special touches that Lori included to make the event special - a signature platter, tons of shells, and her home-made tropical chocolates! Later in the afternoon, the guests added their own ideas - the umbrellas from the frozen drink bar including Margaritas and Jeremy's favorite - Pina Coladas!

The liberal use of shades of Turquoise and Coral turned this event into quite a "splash!"

Best wishes to this fun couple for a long and fun-loving marriage!

Yummy Fall Cocktail Recipe!

Here's a yummy fall cocktail recipe provided by my friend and

favorite French Quarter bartender, Tiffany! Enjoy!

CREME BRULEE MARTINI

1 1/4 oz Vanilla Vodka

1/4 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

1/4 oz Bailey's

1/4 oz Chambord

Dash of cream

Shake with ice and strain into chilled martini glass

Tiffany actually prefers it without the Chambord so try it either way! The one pictured above is garnished with caramel.

Edwin and Stephanie, an international event: June 1, 2008

From the moment I met Edwin and Stephanie, I knew they would be a fun couple. Both of them are extremely sweet and kind, and Stephanie positively glows with optimism. Along the course of planning, Stephanie kept in touch including photo updates on the newest addition to their household, a teacup chihauha named Jojo.

As you can see, they kind of like this little cutie!

June 1st turned into a beautiful day for their wedding. Although they were already married when they first came to me, their friends and family were scattered around the globe and they saw a formal wedding ceremony and reception as a great opportunity to bring everyone together to celebrate.

Here is Stephanie with the ladies and then just a few with her together with her sister.

They decided to get ready at the hotel but the ceremony itself was performed at the nearby church where Edwin and Stephanie are members.

The ladies appear to be enjoying their ride in the limo!

It was actually Edwin and his groomsmen that delivered all of the decorations that Stephanie had prepared, including the floral arrangements that she made herself. You can see that they make a handsome group!

They decided to have family members join them on the head table and you can see how well the flowers matched with their attire!

We wish you every blessing in your marriage!
