I can see clearly now the rain is gone! Neda and Jorge: September 26, 2008

Neda encountered several challenges in planning her wedding. The first was that she was living in Utah the whole time and we had to rely on phone and e-mail to complete all of the necessary arrangements. We actually only met for the first time at the menu tasting one month before her wedding day.

The second challenge is that September 26th dawned rainy and miserable. You can see Neda looking hopefully out her window praying for a break in the clouds so she can have her ceremony outside.

No time to be glum, Neda, Jorge and photographer Anne Lord quickly whisked off to Union Station for a real DC photo session.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, we were gearing up for an indoor ceremony. It was still wet when Neda returned so the photos continued indoors around the hotel lobby.

Then suddenly, the rain stopped. We scrambled to take advantage of this opportunity and set the ceremony outside.

The garden, fresh from all that rain, looked especially fresh and pretty.

Then, it was time to party! Neda had the ballroom decorated in bold black and white with red flowers for a dramatic accent!

Although the rain continued to fall throughout the night, it did not dampen the festivities. Nor did it put out the sparklers Neda planned for a dramatic send-off!

Best wishes to Neda and Jorge for long and happy marriage!

  1. Neda's wedding was all "sexy" red roses which came from Columbia. There are very large and fragrant roses that look fabulous. And they were the perfect accent to her black and white themed wedding.
