Lets face it, the holidays are a stressful time. With a full schedule holiday parties and events coming up in the next 5 weeks or so, our team was looking to blow off a little steam. Taking our cue from the fun singing and dance routines of Glee, we've decided to put together our own little ensemble group. Look for Heathr, Corporate Catering Manager; Shannon, Rooms Sales Manager; Cervando, Banquet Captain, Steve, General Manager and me, collectively known as the HGI Fairfax Fantastics starring in some festive holiday videos.

Meet Shannon

We have another new face around the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax! Shannon Mora comes to us from sunny California and has taken a position with the team as Sales Manager. She may be assisting clients with room block questions, reservations and more. Welcome to Shannon!

Welcome back Cynthia

When I started with the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax nearly 4 years ago, Cynthia Park was the Sales and Catering Coordinator and did an excellent job keeping up with all of the details in a busy sales office. After having two beautiful baby girls, Cynthia has decided to return to the HGI family to resume duties including managing guest room blocks, tracking event payments and creating personalized group reservation pages aka POGs for our clients. Please join me in welcoming Cynthia back to the team!

Team Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax tags their way to victory!

The gang at the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax took a few moments out of their busy work day to put the team of the Hampton Inn Dulles South in their rightful place - second ; ) Meeting up for a friendly competition of laser tag, the HGI Team crushed Hampton Inn Dulles South in round 1, a game of Team Against Team. In round 2, a game of Pink Panther had some system difficulties which disappointed both teams although they allowed the opponents to gain the upper hand. Ending the day in a tie, both teams have vowed to meet again in July and this time, the stakes will be higher, involving more than just bragging rights. Stay posted for the latest!

All in a days work!

Working in the field of special events can be a very demanding job with long hours and high stress. However, when you love what you do, you find that you never notice. Not only that, there is always opportunity to have a little fun at work. I wanted to share a few photos of our team kicking back, relaxing and having a little fun - all in a days work! Enjoy!
