Jenny and Michael: May 1, 2010

Michael and Jenny were a fun couple to work with. I was happy that they had a beautiful wedding day for an outside ceremony. They both got ready here at the hotel before the ceremony began and found time to shoot a few photos before the guests arrived.

I love the fresh spring combination of the yellow against the aqua.

After a lovely ceremony, including a sand ceremony, Michael and Jenny found time to shoot a few photos around the inside of the hotel and the gardens.

I love the perspective of this one taken on the staircase.

Jenny and Michael chose to have a head table for their bridal party. You can see here how it looks under the large ballroom mirror.

The guest tables featured our house hurricane globe centerpieces accompanied by a sprinkling of yellow and blue petals. Look closely and you can see the table name - all of the tables were named after U2 songs.

While the guests seemed to enjoy themselves dancing, Jenny and Michael found time to share a quiet moment together in the garden before making their grand departure with sparklers in the garden.

Best wishes to Jenny and Michael for a long and happy marriage!

Timeless Romance: Jennifer and Joseph, September 26, 2009

Jennifer and Joseph had a way of staying positive and turning every challenge into an opportunity. As you can see, rather than let their rainy day wedding be a downer, they seized the opportunity to capture some of the most remarkable photos!

Because the cold and heavy rain prohibited us from holding the ceremony outside, we set the ceremony inside the ballroom. The guests are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bride!

The mirror made a beautiful backdrop for their exchange of vows.

Afterward, the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour while the bridal party took a few photos in the lobby.

Back inside the ballroom for the first dance, the mirror made an elegant backdrop. They also enjoyed the garter toss.

Jennifer and Joseph found time to steal away for a few moments of privacy in the garden under the umbrella.

Best wishes to Jennifer and Joseph for a long and happy marriage!

Lori and Jeremy - A Tropical Adventure: August 30, 2008

Lori and Jeremy were a very cool couple and from the moment I met them, I knew that this would be a distinctively cool event!

The day of the ceremony was sunny and bright. The garden was looking lush and beautiful - as you would expect for a day to be spent in the tropics. Although it was August, they had decided to have an early ceremony and so they were able to avoid the typical August heat.

The tropical mood was set from arrival with a seashell theme on the cover of the programs.

Here comes the bride!

The ceremony itself included a sand ceremony. And some tears. And some laughter.

Afterward, the Jeremy and Lori posed for some photos and then . . .

They went for stroll in the field across the street!

Meanwhile, the guests were enjoying cocktails, hors d' oeuvres and admiring all of the special touches that Lori included to make the event special - a signature platter, tons of shells, and her home-made tropical chocolates! Later in the afternoon, the guests added their own ideas - the umbrellas from the frozen drink bar including Margaritas and Jeremy's favorite - Pina Coladas!

The liberal use of shades of Turquoise and Coral turned this event into quite a "splash!"

Best wishes to this fun couple for a long and fun-loving marriage!
